Having grown up in Colorado Springs, I wanted to capture a shot that embodies the strong emotional memories I have of its visually iconic places. This trifecta of Pikes Peak with its rolling foothills below, Garden of the Gods State Park glowing in the early morning light, and a dusting of snow to top it all off – this takes me back to my earliest memories in life.
